Middle School Pedagogy

The middle school curriculum is designed in such a manner that the basic learning needs of the students are met while sharpening their intellect and helps them to make connections across the curriculum. The school follows the guidelines of the CBSE and encourages the use of experiential learning systems.

Students of Vagisha Vidhyalaya School would experience the joy of learning, gain a deep understanding of important concepts, develop research and experimental skills and learn to accept personal responsibility for actions, decisions and outcomes. Different types of scholastic and co-scholastic activities enforce a conducive learning environment where the young minds deal with real events and competently cope with the dynamics of real life.

In the Middle School years – grades VI - VIII, the students will learn how to think in an abstract manner, and furnish their cognitive skills by gaining a deeper understanding of important concepts. Middle school students also have access to the school laboratories, allowing them to gain experiential knowledge. Since these years are integral for the social development of the children, students are taught to accept personal responsibility for actions, decisions and outcomes. Students’ classroom and laboratory work is supplemented with educational trips, which make learning more exciting.

Students attain adequate proficiency & confidence to appear in competitive exams and engage in critical thinking, acquire problem solving skills and decision making using logical reasoning classes. As per the CBSE suggestion Continuous and Comprehensive Assessment (CCE) is followed across grades.
